I have been so blessed to work with this family for a few years now and I was super excited for their recent maternity session as we anticipate their latest little one's arrival...
These two littles have been a joy to photograph from the time they were babies until now and I cannot wait to see how the next one adds to this family!
From gummy bears to peek-a-boo, we play and bribe and tickle while creating images to capture this time in their lives that won't come again ...
I love photographing seniors and I had the privilege yesterday of working with my first senior of 2016... she had her own style, ideas, and input on her session and I loved it. It is so easy to work with a senior who knows who they are and what they want to capture in their images. Senior portraits are all about personality and capturing this moment in time, just how they are, what they love, and the transition into the next phase of their life. I always put such pressure on myself to capture all these things and more at each unique senior session.
I just wanted to pop in to say Happy New Year... I am still trying to get my head around this 2016 thing. Man times flies! I have hit the ground running with planning a new year for my business, dreaming up new and better experiences for clients, and feeding my soul through some planned themed personal projects! I hope you will join me on this journey this year as I seek to grow my business even more. Thank you all for a beautiful 2015 and here's to all that 2016 holds for us!
Have a blessed day!
About two weeks ago I had the most amazing privilege of going to my first photography conference. I had been wanting to go for some time and had come across many that made my mouth water. However, if you are a photographer or know anyone who is, you know that any photography conference costs a pretty penny. I am talking take-out-a-loan kind of pretty penny. One-on-one editing and business mentorships are my dream with people like Shalonda Chaddock of Chubby Cheek Photography, Katie Lamb of Katie Lamb Photography, Dahlias and Daisies Photography, Sarah Cornish of My Four Hens Photography, and so, so many more! I have had a business mentorship with Dana Perkins, locally, of Tin Star Photography, which I have spoken of before, and it did wonderful things for my business, my shooting, as well as the way I look at my business and clients, not to mention gave me an incredible friend/mentor for life.
As I mentioned, learning and growing in my business and photography is a personal goal that is always at the top of my list. I want to continue to improve, try new things, develop my style, and provide a more artistic and better client experience for all of you. ClickAway was put on by an organization called Clickin Moms and is a group of amazing photographers, women, and inspirational speakers! It was just 3 (almost) full days of non-stop photography talk, shooting experiences, inspirational talks, eating, and soaking up as much of this experience as I possibly could. I have rarely been to anything like this where it just fed my soul and I didn't want to leave. I normally do not do well being away from home or away from my husband and children, but this conference left me wanting more and more. It was so great to be with others who are as passionate about photography as I am, who cannot learn enough, and who want to actually stop everywhere we go and find great light for an awesome picture. Two thousand people who are as *weird* as I am :)
I took classes from some women that I have been friends with on photography boards, from teachers I had taken classes from online, and even some I had never heard of but now wonder how I hadn't seen their work before! I met women from as far away as Canada and France and as close to home as China Spring. It was so good to make connections, learn from each other, and to just get to know each individual woman and how photography has impacted her life. I cannot wait to go again next year and meet more women who have such a passion for this profession.
Here are just a few pictures from my days in San Antonio... (many of these are phone pics so please excuse the quality!)
This sweet angel girl has been coming to me since her newborn pictures... can't believe we are already finishing up her 9 month session of her baby plan. Won't be long and she will be smashing cake!
If you or someone you know is interested in the baby plan, contact me today. It is a wonderful way to capture baby's first year in photos you will cherish a lifetime.
Have a blessed day!
