For those of you who have been my clients for a while, you may have noticed that some of my policies, prices, and sessions have changed slightly. I have been working diligently improving my business over the last year to better accommodate you (the client), as well as my family and I. Part of this process meant looking at my expenses, profit, products, cost of packaging, and time spent on business in conjunction with my family responsibilities. (They are happy to let me know when they have had too many frozen chicken nuggets and/or hamburger helper for dinner due to my work schedule:)
So, with all that said I think it is important to share the awesome new changes and improvements with each of you...
First, mini sessions. I LOVE mini sessions. I like the brief session time for those that want an inexpensive way to get a few great pictures of their kiddos, themselves as a couple, or to participate in a cute themed session a few times per year. I am able to offer these sessions for several clients in one day, at a reduced rate, in one location, AND include digital files! And although I do love the flexibility of these sessions for you and for me, I must also ensure these sessions are profitable for me and my family. Remember, my business must be the best it can be for my clients and my home... we like to have groceries in our frig and our electricity on! :) Even with mini sessions, I have to figure in cost of gas to location, cost of props (if themed), editing time (uploading pictures/previews/gallery), session time, email time (confirmations/gallery link/ordering), etc. Any session, whether a full or mini session, requires time, talent, and costs of doing business (such as camera equip, memory cards, lenses, batteries, software, etc.) So I figure in all of these costs while also making sure that my business can remain profitable and support what I love to do!
I want to be able to provide quality photography experiences for my clients, as well as support my family. The costs of upgrading equipment, putting in a home studio, adding to my prop collection ( aka: addiction:), and contributing to my family's income are important to me because it means I can offer an overall better experience for YOU, the client. And doing that requires that I charge the fees that I do to make this a profitable business I know anyone in business wants to be successful while also building a loyal customer base. I want to provide the best possible custom photography experience along with the most humble pricing structure I can.
Along with the mini sessions, there are a couple of policy improvements for these sessions:
*If a client has booked a themed mini session event and must reschedule, the themed mini session will not be recreated for the reschedule date.
*All mini sessions will be provided with digital downloads directly from their gallery. A digital download is the digital copy of the image that can be downloaded to the client's computer, along with a print release, and used for their personal use for prints, digital products, etc.
*The client can purchase the entire gallery of digital downloads for a mini session for an additional price indicated on the order form. There is no CD provided for mini sessions as it keeps my costs to a minimum and helps me, in turn, pass along this savings to the client by keeping the mini session fee as low as possible. If the client does wish to purchase a CD of the images for archival purposes, there is a $10 additional fee to over the cost of the CD/packaging.
Please let me know if you have additional questions regarding mini session details! :)
Have a blessed week!
